Wildwire Wanaka had been a dream in the making for owners Mark and Laurel Morrison since 2004. In late 2015 that dream came true; the lower sections – Go Wild and Wild Thing – were opened for business.

Late 2016 saw the completion of the final ascent – Lord of the Rungs – a striking 1000m climb, with 450m of vertical, offering the most remarkable of views.

Today Wildwire Wanaka is the highest waterfall climb on the planet.

Set amongst the natural beauty of the Twin Falls waterfalls, located near Treble Cone Ski Field, Wildwire offers participants a truly unique experience. The falls are located on private land owned by the Ewing Family and is part of a large farm station called Cattle Flat Station. The Ewings have supported this project from the start and because of their support, the ability to admire the beautiful blue pools, grassy plateaus and dramatic canyoning sections are exclusive to Wildwire climbers only.

Hundreds of steel rungs, safety cable and epic wire-bridges have been secured to the canyon walls, enabling you to access this area and enjoy the breathtaking scenery and experience an unforgettable climb.

Wildwire was created by adventurous souls for adventure seekers.

Pcitured right is Laurel, Mark, Neve and Lilly Morrison.
